Playing2Win (P2W), Harlem's cutting-edge community technology center, leads the next generation of technology users to the forefront of economics, social and educational opportunities. Founded in 1980 by Antonia Stone, and re-invigorated in 1998 by Boys & Girls Harbor and Columbia University's Institute for Learning Technologies (ILT), the organization provides youths and adults a creative environment in which technological arts are the centerpiece of learning.
Playing2Win is a central hub where both young and old come together to learn and fulfill Ms. Stone's vision of an empowered community. Through independent study, group workshops, and one-on-one interactions, our staff aids students in gaining web design, digital art and video, music production, e-business, and an array of other marketable skills.
P2W opens the world of technology to over 600 members' primary African Americans and Latinos from Harlem and its surrounding neighborhoods.
