The Marcus Garvey Park Alliance is a community advocacy group for Marcus Garvey Park that works with the New York City Parks Department to bring about positive improvements and changes to Marcus Garvey Park. This is the group responsible for dealing with issues related to the park, specifically scheduling and running programs for the community at the parks facilities. This includes amphitheater performances during the summer, and running after-school programs in the community center attached to the aforementioned amphitheater.
