The Future Leaders Institute is a charter school (publicly funded, privately run) on West 122nd Street between Lenox and 7th Avenue. The building is the former PS 144 Public School. It is a 3 story building with a very large rooftop comprising perhaps half a city block. The school wants to eventually install an innovative green rooftop "garden" on the school with extensive tie-ins to the academic curriculum.
